How to save your time and money on retouching? BEAUTY PHOTOGRAPHY best practice. Here are some tips that will help you to retouch less or get a lower price from a retoucher.

MODEL
Pick a model with good skin. Our skin hardens with age, pores getting wider. 15-20 years old models have skin that almost does not show texture on a picture. I would recommend to pick a younger model. Make a test shoot with a new face model before serious work and work with models that you know.
This will save you 15-30 minutes on every photo.

MAKE UP
Do not forget of make up quality and skin moisturizing.
Professional camera can see every macro detail, every spot, every line, every pore.
Some things are easier to improve by retouching, liners and blendings have to be taken care of before shooting. Correct imperfections before taking picture.
This will save you 10-60 minutes on every photo.

HAIR AND NAILS
Mind hairstyle! Move single hairs out from the face and neck, keep locks in order.
This saves from 30 minutes to 2 hours on retouching.
Nails also matters! Check that the model no agnail, her nails are shaped fine. If need be it's better to add a fresh layer of polish: 4 weeks nail polish looks bad and for sure takes much longer to retouch. This saves 5-10 minutes on every photo.

LIGTHING
Professional lighting set up.
It could become a great challenge to correct the mistakes of lighting.
This saves from 10 minutes to 2 hours on retouching.
